[2K/XP] Apache and php on Win32: How turn on error messages in the browser. [24-01-06]
Assuming you have installed Apache 2 (2.0.50) and php 5, go to the php.ini file in your php install dir, and find the value display_errors = off and set it to on. Save the file and restart the Apache server.
Increase pop speed of the Start menu
Edit the registry value MenuShowDelay value in the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. The interger value is the delay time in milliseconds from click to popup occurs.
[XP] Auto login user
Open the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon. Edit or create the string value AltDefaultName and set it to the account that you want to be logged in automaticly.
Edit or create the string value AutoAdminLogon and set it to "1".
Edit or create the string value DefaultPassword and set it to the password of the desired account.

[XP] Disable virtual memory
Open the "Wirtual memory" window under "Performance options" windows under "System properties" windows, and choose "no paging file".
Open the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlset\Control\Session Manager\MemoryManagement. Edit or create the DWORD value DisablePaging and set it to 1.
NB. This is only reccomended if you have at least 512mb of memory.
Howto connect IDE devices (harddisks, CD-Rom's etc.)
Plug into motherboard: Blue.
Plug into master device: Black.
Plug into slave device: Grey.
The master and slave plug are not necessary if the devices are forced to be master and slave by jumper settings.
